A Ton of Bricks

January 9, 2014 – Malaysia:Day 002

Once again, this blog about life in Thailand finds our intrepid family in Malaysia.

Go figure.

Today’s post highlights some photographs taken at the Mini-Land section of LEGOLAND Malaysia. This area of the amusement park showcases Asian landmarks recreated using nothing but the plastic bricks.

For starters – and to bring this blog back to Thailand – here is Wat Arun, the Temple of the Dawn, located in Bangkok.

DSCN6381Next up is the Singapore Flyer, the largest Ferris wheel in the world. It is – as you would surmise – located in Singapore.

DSCN6355Finally, once the tallest building in the world and still the tallest twin buildings on the globe, here is the LEGO version of the Petronas Towers located in Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur.

DSCN6367For your viewing pleasure – and as a means for comparison – here are some pictures taken of the real artifacts.
